For people who can’t wait until September 14th, there’s an opportunity to watch the Amplified Gesture documentary a few days earlier. On saturday September 5th, 2009 the documentary about David Sylvian’s new album “Manofon” is shown at the Punkt Festival in Kristiansand, Norway.

On September 14th 2009, the movie Amplified Gesture will be shown at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA). There’ll be a screening of the DVD, a Q&A with the director and a playback of a couple of tracks from Manafon. David will not be there! The new 9 track album from David Sylvian, which is scheduled to be released September 14th, is called Manafon. See below for tracklist and press information and artwork. Jacqueline is the title of the (unreleased) track that has been released on the CD “FANTASTIC AND SPECTACULAR”, which is enclosed with the July/August issue of the US magazine The Believer 2009 Music Issue. The CD is compiled by Daniel Handler, who is the author of three novels and many, many books for children.
