A London exhibition of Yuka Fujii’s photographs based on her book ‘Like Planets’ is being held at POCKO gallery, 51A King Henry’s Walk, London N1 4NH from 3 October to 1 November 2019. The event launches with a Private View event on 3 October.

A number of unreleased mixes of David Sylvian tracks are being unveiled as part of the programme at Punkt 2019.
Yuka Fuji’s film ‘Like Planets’ is set to premiere at the Punkt Festival in Norway in September and at Cafe OTO in London in October – see details here. Mark Wastell has provided the soundtrack music and confirms the following detail, including David Sylvian’s contribution:
Dai Fujikura is artistic director of the Born Creative Festival being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre on 28 September 2019. As part of the programme there will be a David Sylvian Room where recordings of instrumental work from David’s catalogue will be played. Featured will be a previously unreleased work made for the festival by David Sylvian titled ‘Manafon:
Beautiful 5CD boxset in slipcase, including a 52-page booklet. On disc 5, the track Steel Cathedrals is included.
Ryuichi Sakamoto – Life, Life (Anenon Dream remix)
Commissions, Tracks - by/with David Sylvian, Recording, 0Beautiful official remix of the track ‘Life, Life’ from Ryuichi Sakamoto’s 2017 album async. In 2018 Ryuichi released ‘ASYNC – REMODELS’, containing remixes of the tracks from the original album. The remix of ‘Life, Life’ featured on the ‘ASYNC – REMODELS’ album was performed by Andy Stott and does NOT contain Sylvian’s spoken word vocal.

The 2019 remix and remaster of ‘There is No Love’ by Rhodri Davies, David Sylvian and Mark Wastell is now available for download. This was previously only available on the 2019 Record Store Day white vinyl release.

David’s greatest hits was also released as a 2 MD set in jewel cases.
David Sylvian provided liner notes for this cd which features Sidsel Endresen (who appears on ‘Uncommon Deities’) and Clive Bell (who appears on ‘When Loud Weather Buffeted Naoshima’). The cd accompanied Sylvian on a solo road-trip across the USA in 2014. Available on cd and 140g vinyl edition which includes 11 x 11″ art insert and print.
David Sylvian attended the sessions for this recording and in the liner notes is credited with radically impacting Toshimaru’s set up in the studio. Beautiful letterpress cover. Limited edition CD of 300. Recordings from these sessions were used by David Sylvian for his collaboration with Mark Wastell and Rhodri Davies, ‘There is No Love’.
